Literature & children’s cornerI look after fiction, poetry, and the young readers’ bay — and I still believe the right book finds you when the shop is quiet enough to listen.
Who we are
Livraria Cais grew from a simple idea: a neighbourhood shop where books, stationery, and quiet conversation share the same room.
On Rua do Souto we keep a generalist range with a careful hand — literature and poetry, children’s shelves, school support, and a stationery table stocked for daily writing.
We are more than a checkout: we host story hours, reading circles, and small evenings where neighbours meet authors and each other. A short café counter serves coffee, tea, and water while you browse.
The Quay Box — our monthly subscription — sends a hand-wrapped surprise to readers who want discovery delivered to their door.
Two readers who chose Braga’s historic centre as the place to keep stories moving.
